While not as publicly well-known or profiled as some of the people interviewed within this book, he is one of the most devoted, and knowledgeable, mentors I've spoken to. When somebody has a website and a book centered around the phrase 'manifesting vibration', you immediately know you've found somebody who has either, thru intense study, put their finger on the pulse of the manifestation process or somebody who can, thru guided techniques, show you how to feel that pulse yourself. I would soon find out that Jafree has and can do both. From his days as a child, asking life's most puzzling questions (I'm sure, like me, his mother also called him "Curious George"), to his days in India studying with Papaji and other enlightened teachers, Jafree has a broad exploratory background into the study of the mind, universal laws, and the divine forces that shape our lives. An above-average self-aware / spiritually-realized person who stands out as an Everyday down-to-earth guy who you can still relate to. While hisinsight into all things 'unseen' (metaphysical) is broad, Jafree's jovial energy and relaxing attitude makes you see him as your buddy walking thru the campus grounds rather than the ivory tower professor or book-smart coach. One of the most prominent themes around Jafree's teachings is [paraphrased] 'relax, life is a joy ride, quit trying to limit yourself by letting your thinking-mind get in the way.' When I called him for the first time to speak about the project and to take the time to get acquainted with each other, it was amazing to me how in tune he was to my energy - even the shaky energy I thought I was overshadowing with my excitement about the project. A lot of times we think we're sneaky enough to hide our own feelings of tenseness and apprehension to the world, especially if we hear our own passion about something speaking louder. However, when you connect with a highly-conscious person (someone like Jafree who experiences life from a state of acceptance, love, and approval of himself), you soon realize everything about yourself can be an open book. What you think is closed to the world to feel - your own internal inhibitions, moods, limiting mind-chatter and fears - is quite often 'picked up by', like an energy radar, people who have a more solid connection to life's Truths. One of those Truths, which the majority of the population has a hard time employing, is this: We're here to ask for and soak in life's greatest joys without holding back. Regardless of what you've been conditioned to believe since childhood, it's okay to celebrate life, to eat desert first, and to have things come to you easily (the slogan 'no pain, no gain' is an example of a preconditioned slogan that has fooled you since childhood). Jafree could sense some of my anxiety about a few of the project details and, in his unique gentle way, told me: "Have a little bit more fun with this; you'll be surprised at how big it can grow if you do." And, you know what? He was ab-so-lute-ly, 100%, without a doubt, right! The more I saw myself having fun with this project, the more trusting I got with my own ability to create good content while figuratively jumping up in the air and tapping my heels together, the more this project grew on its own. Yes, it took me a while to put my arms around this idea; however, after experiencing this project grow beyond my own imagination by allowing more selfish joy in my life ('how much fun are you willing to handle, Barry?'), I too became convinced that some of Life's grandest treasures are found through focused play, not so much as through sacrificial work. Jafree has blazed a trail to his own lifestyle odyssey. Not somebody to fall for the belief that you can, and should, be content with a life full of professional achievements, corporate awards, and institutionalized education, Jafree expanded his world (and continues to) by expanding his ability to appreciate, taste, and dive into All-That-Is NOW. Celebrating life 'some day' doesn't cut it. If you think that 'some day' you'll start on a personal-growth path to help you break out of your experienced patterns of life, then you'll continue to live a fantasy. As you'll learn about in one part of our conversation (about Time and living 'horizontally' versus 'vertically'), hoping to experience your dream life 'some day' - one where all fears and limits constantly take their place in the back seat - means you're not connected to Who You Are 'right now'. Or, as Jafree so eloquently puts it on his website. "I want you to realize how easy it is for YOU to joyfully live out your highest dreams and aspirations. I want you to LIVE each day as if THIS WAS the greatest day of your existence!! What if you decided to remind yourself everyday that your life is a magical journey which you are continuously creating? What if you started to believe that you are ALWAYS connected to an ever-powerful and loving magical source of energy ALL the time? Just who do you want to be tomorrow? Perhaps your future is not set in stone. Just maybe it is ALL yours to create, imagine, and decide to manifest however you want it to be.
